Baton Rouge native Steven DeBosier joined the litigation team at Dudley DeBosier in March 2000. He is a 1985 graduate of Catholic High School, and he obtained his undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University. Steven spent the first few years of his legal career representing insurance companies, where he learned firsthand how they operate.
At Dudley DeBosier, Steven prosecutes plaintiffs’ personal injury claims against those same insurance companies in courts all across Louisiana, including state and federal courts. He focuses on personal injury claims and helping get his clients the money they deserve.
This soft tissue injury should have resolved after three months." "Pre-existing degenerative condition." "MRI shows only degenerative changes." "Abnormal pain response on clinic examination." "Notable difference in range of motion during examination." These are just some of the boilerplate lines used by "independent" medical examiners to imply or outright declare that your client is a liar. Most litigators treat these insurance company medical examiners as an enemy that must be exposed and destroyed at all costs. Trial attorneys Steven DeBosier and Adam Savoie will share a more nuanced approach to medical examiner discovery, including constructive versus destructive cross-examination techniques, demonstrative evidence creation before and during the IME deposition, and pre-deposition written discovery strategies.
The formula for a good case is Bad Defendant + worthy plaintiff = great judgment
