To motivate a jury to take action, a case has to be about more than just a single crash. This lecture will show how to get a jury to focus on a trucking company’s bad decisions that were the root cause of the crash. Showing that the company’s bad choices continue to endanger everyone on the road increases the likelihood of a just verdict.
The speech will also cover how to overcome a company’s attempt to hide its bad conduct by admitting that its employee was in the course and scope of employment. Michael will show how to plead and prove a punitive damages claim, which will allow the jury to see all of the company’s unsafe choices.
